If you live or work in the South West, the chances are you've seen Sturland's vans or hoardings on many occasions. But you may not know exactly what we do, who we do it for, or how many services we offer.
Based in Bath for more than forty years, we've constructed and refurbished literally thousands of homes and business properties for domestic and commercial clients alike, and built a workforce of skilled, professional and trustworthy people along the way.
Given our location in a world heritage city, it's hardly surprising that we specialise in the conservation and preservation of historic and listed buildings. However we're equally comfortable working on new builds, extensions, oak-framed buildings and construction from natural Bath stone. And in the last few years we've also been charged with implementing many state-of-the-art, sustainable and ecologically sound building solutions for our clients.
Rather than relying on casual labour, we employ an established team of qualified masons, bricklayers, carpenters, decorators, plasterers and tilers. We also promote an active employee training scheme, sponsoring a number of new apprentices annually as well as encouraging existing employees to develop and enhance their skills.
It's a formula that seems to work, because most of our commissions come via recommendations from previous clients and architects. We believe this bears testimony to the quality of both our work, and our ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
